There is nothing more powerful than having someone you can turn to who has already done what you are trying to accomplish.

Are you thinking about a career in Dentistry? Our Director of Community Outreach, Jaymar Golveo, is a pre-dental student and is willing to help any of our members who have questions about preparing for or applying to dental school. Jaymar is passionate about dentistry and helping others. He also attended the Summer Medical Dental Education Program this summer and is willing to answer any questions you may have about his experiences there. If you would like someone to talk to about your dental school goals or have any questions you would like answered, Jaymar would love to hear from you.  Just send him an email and introduce yourself:

In Fall 2015 the Pre-Med Club at the University of Washington Bothell will be debuting a new program called the Pre-Med Mentorship Program. This program will pair more experienced UWB pre-med students with less experienced pre-med students or students who may be interested in going down the pre-med path. The mentors will be there to answer questions and connect mentees with resources to make their journey through the pre-med track just a little bit easier. If you have any questions about what professors/classes to take, how to get into volunteering/researching/job shadowing, what to expect as a pre-med student, etc., then this is the program for you!

Mentors have a diverse mix of backgrounds and a wide range of experience in volunteering, research work, job shadowing, and more! Several of the mentors are applying to medical school next year and will be taking the MCAT this coming spring; thus we will be able to provide useful insight into the new MCAT and the med school application process.

This program is open to anyone who is interested in pre-med--whether you are a first year student who is just starting out, or a fifth year who recently switched to the pre-med track. If you are interested in participating or just want more information, please send an email to Taryn Meacham at
